Job Summary
Read blueprints and operate various CNC machines, including starting operations, monitoring performance, and recording data. Inspect parts, measure workpieces with micrometers and gauges, and make adjustments to meet quality requirements. Deburr and wash components as needed while maintaining, cleaning, and lubricating equipment. Comply with OSHA safety rules and keep the workspace clean. Train on the 1st shift Monday through Friday before working the 2nd shift at this industrial valve manufacturer in Kennett Square, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to train on 1st shift Monday through Friday 6:30am - 3:15pm prior to going on 2nd shift
- Pays close attention to detail at all times
- Able to identify drawing elements such as surface finish, concentricity, parallel surfaces
- Proficient at using conventional measuring tools
- Understands tolerance
- Capable of identifying generic lathe tools and drills
- Ability to use related manufacturing tools and equipment
- Ability to wear proper PPE at all times
- Ability to move about machine shop and stand for extended period of time
