Job Summary
Machine Operator in the trim department on 2nd shift (5:00 pm–1:30 am) at Cornerstone Building Brands. Requires high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in manufacturing, and ability to read manuals, safety rules, and procedures. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-focused, able to communicate effectively, solve problems with multiple variables, work in a team, and be willing to cross-train and obtain forklift/overhead crane certification. Full-time, overtime opportunities with starting pay $16.25/hr, plus $1.50 shift differential; location: Elizabethton, TN. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining production equipment in the trim department, reading documents, following procedures, and collaborating with a diverse team. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
- Ability to read and comprehend documents (policies, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures)
- Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and in small groups
- Ability to follow work instructions written/oral/diagram form
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Willingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead crane
- Basic mathematical knowledge and ability to use measuring instruments
