Job Summary
Operate all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique and specialty customer applications while following standard operating procedures to ensure safety and quality. Engage in process measurement, control, and improvement, learning operating parameters to deliver only in-specification product. Manage equipment, coordinate with interdepartmental teams, and troubleshoot mechanical issues using general mechanical knowledge. Requires high school diploma, basic extruder or mixing equipment experience, and strong communication skills. This 2nd shift role (3:00PM-3:30AM, Monday-Thursday) at Techmer PM in Rancho Dominguez, California, offers a rate of $21.97 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic knowledge of running an extruder or mixing equipment
- Ability to learn pre and post production equipment and operations (drying, bagging, grinding etc.)
- General mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems
