Job Summary
Operate Strut Welders within engineered Takt Times, read production work orders, and fill out documentation for production, downtime, and QA reports. Monitor product quality, communicate safety or production issues to the shift supervisor, and drive a forklift when necessary. Perform PM maintenance, assist with major changeover procedures, and execute length and finish changeovers for various profiles and channel sizes. Lift and manipulate up to 60lbs while standing and walking up to 12 hours per day. Report to the Production Supervisor at Atkore in Hobart, Indiana, with a goal to troubleshoot machines and perform full changeovers within three months.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 Year of Strut Welder operation experience or equivalent training
- Ability to lift and manipulate up to 60lbs
- Standing and walking up to 12 hours per day
- Drive forklift when necessary
- Must be based out of Hobart, Indiana
