Job Summary
Machine Operator 2 responsible for operating basic machine operation with computer-controlled or mechanical equipment to ensure proper setup, loading/unloading and inspection of components according to Operational Method Sheets (OMS). Duties include adjusting for changeovers, troubleshooting minor machine time outs, setting up/operating 1 up/down workstations, performing monthly preventive maintenance, documenting rework/scrap as required, packaging service parts, and participating in continuous improvement projects focused on quality, productivity and process improvement. Must read mechanical documents, drawings and blueprints, perform basic math, and adhere to all safety requirements and 5S standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents, drawings, and blueprints
- Basic math skills
- Basic machine trouble-shooting skills
- Adhere to safety requirements and 5Ss
- Load/unload/inspect components to OMS using proper gauging equipment
