Job Summary
Set up, maintain, and operate machinery to ensure efficient production cycles, including calibration, cleaning, and adjusting speed settings. Feed raw materials to semi-automated machines, inspect parts with precision tools like calipers and micrometers, and test operations periodically. Fix issues that arise during shifts, check output for flaws, and maintain activity logs for approved and defective units. Read steel rules, use scales to weigh dough, and operate Allen wrenches for changeovers while adhering to safety standards and lifting 50 pounds. Work in a fast-paced environment requiring close collaboration, with on-the-job training provided for skill improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 5 yrs experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a machine operator
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
- Must be able to read a steel rule and use a scale to weigh dough
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Changeover experience
- Use hand tools especially Allen wrenches
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds at various times
- Position may require a lot of standing or walking
- Weekends as needed
- Teamwork and communication skills
- The successful candidate will be required to complete a background process including a criminal check and drug screen
