Job Summary
Set up, calibrate, and clean machinery to initiate production cycles while controlling speed and feeding raw materials. Inspect parts using precision tools like calipers and micrometers, fix operational issues, and check output for flaws. Maintain activity logs and records of approved or defective units. Read steel rules, weigh dough with scales, and use hand tools such as Allen wrenches to navigate the SG program schedule. Adhere to health and safety regulations and lift 50 pounds as needed. This role requires a minimum of five years of experience and may involve weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a machine operator, for a minimum of 5 years
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
- Must be able to read a steel rule and use a scale to weigh dough
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Changeover experience
- Use hand tools especially Allen wrenches
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds at various times.
- Position may require a lot of standing or walking.
- Weekends as needed.
- Teamwork and communication skills
- The successful candidate will be required to complete a background process including a criminal check and drug screen.
