Job Summary

Set up, adjust, and operate auxiliary and automatic bindery machines to process printed sheets into final books, catalogs, and magazines. Direct the crew through all aspects of production while making needed adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on a single machine. Monitor quality, output, and productivity, and inspect equipment for safety issues. Make adjustments to powered machines using hand tools and interpret written work instructions to maintain dimensional accuracy. Identify paper conditions such as moisture or curling to ensure functional accuracy. Work the 1st shift (M-F, 7:00am to 3:00pm) starting at $20.15 per hour.

Required Qualifications

  • 1st shift availability (M-F, approx. 7:00am to 3:00pm)
  • Ability to work morning and afternoon hours
  • Familiarity with different paper weights, sizes, kinds and colors
  • Familiarity with basic mathematics (decimals, metric units)
  • Ability to use the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices
  • Skill in making adjustments to powered machines using handtools
  • Ability to read and interpret written work
  • Knowledge of operating procedures for bindery equipment
  • Working knowledge of the set up, adjustment, procedures, capabilities and limitations of equipment
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
  • Successful completion of a drug screen
