Job Summary
Operate both the hot press and cold press to produce veneer and laminate panels, with careful attention to loading, safety, and process efficiency. Monitor veneer face quality, core quality, glue spread, and proper placement; adjust as needed to prevent loose veneer. Coordinate with Shipping & Receiving to verify orders and ensure correct shipments; prepare finished panels for shipment or customer pickup, including stacking on skids and labeling as required. Set up and clean the glue spreader at shift end; ensure all components match work orders and that completed orders have correct quantities. Run production jobs to maintain consistency, maintain a safe and clean work area, and assist other departments as directed. May fill in as needed and look ahead to maintain good flow for the press; operate Hi-Lo and support material staging for shipping. These duties are performed on a first-shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Physically able to meet job demands (lift up to 100 pounds)
- Experience operating or working with presses preferred
- Ability to read and follow work orders and ensure correct quantities
