Job Summary
Operates production machines (saws, presses, drills) and other equipment to produce finished parts. Studies blueprints/specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances, measures workpieces, starts/runs machinery, detects malfunctions, and adjusts controls. Verifies conformance to specifications, conducts trial runs, tests unit operation, and assists with assembly as needed. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds, stand about 75% of the shift, and bend/lift/pull/push as required. Uses small hand tools and may perform routine adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality.
