Job Summary
Machine Operator for a Louisville manufacturing facility. Responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance on forming presses and packaging line equipment. Inspect parts to specifications, provide detailed feedback on the production line, report machine settings daily, and engage in CILs (clean, inspect & lubricate) to maintain clean equipment and identify defects. Maintain tool areas and workspace, and execute and sustain 6S, 2-press operations, packaging line coordination with Packers, deviation handling, and adherence to WSWD procedures. Communicate with shift counterparts, ensure continuous production at high quality, and assist with packaging when lines run efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma
- Two years in a manufacturing environment in a similar role
- Good mechanical abilities
- Basic mathematical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge and enforcement of machine safety, i.e., lock-out/tagout procedures, hand tool safety, etc.
- Must maintain a clean workspace.
