Job Summary
Monitor blow molding machines by pushing buttons, removing plastic parts by hand, and using steps to enter the work platform when necessary. Remove flash from parts, inspect them for defects, and notify process techs or quality personnel. Weigh parts as required, allow flash to cool and grind, and grind defective parts. Perform secondary operations per work instructions, log in and out of the Shop Floor Monitoring System, and enter rejects. Package production parts, maintain effective communication with management, and measure finished parts with precision tools. Inspect equipment prior to use, perform basic adjustments, and ensure a clean, safe work area while following all safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience
- Willingness to follow directions
- Ability to work well in a team
- Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries
- Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment
- Must be able to comprehend and carry out oral and written instructions
- Must be able to perform all production tasks while following the procedures outlined in the work instruction
- Must maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area always
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to twist
- Must be able to lift overhead
- Must be able to lift and carry barrels and lids
- Must be able to carry up to 25 pounds throughout the day
- Must be able to work in excessive hot and cold temperatures
- Must be able to follow safety regulations
