Job Summary
Set up, operate, and monitor machines to cut and shape metal components for remote power panels with precision and efficiency. Utilize industrial machinery to cut, form, and prepare materials to meet exact specifications for downstream assembly. Safely load, unload, and position large-format metal sheets using forklifts or overhead cranes. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify parts align with drawings and data-center power requirements. De-tab, sort, and stage finished components by job number to support efficient assembly operations. Conduct routine machine checks and assist with gas cylinder changes to maintain consistent performance. Maintain high standards of precision and productivity in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Record material usage and machine activity to support inventory and production planning.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience as a machine operator is preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment
- Must be comfortable lifting heavy material and working with your hands
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently
- Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a strong desire to learn new things
- Experience with Salvagnini machines is a plus
