Job Summary
Set up, operate, and monitor machines to cut and shape metal components for remote power panels with precision and efficiency. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify parts meet exact specifications. Safely load, unload, and position large-format metal sheets using forklifts or overhead cranes to maintain smooth production flow. De-tab, sort, and stage finished components by job number to support efficient assembly operations and maintain workflow continuity. Conduct routine machine checks and assist with gas cylinder changes to ensure consistent machine performance. Maintain high standards of precision and productivity to support manufacturing output and minimize downtime in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Accurately record material usage, machine activity, and job completion to support inventory tracking and production planning.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience as a machine operator is preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment
- Must be comfortable lifting heavy material and working with your hands
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently
- Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a strong desire to learn new things
- Experience with Salvagnini machines is a plus
