Machine Operator (12 Hour Night Shift)

Job Summary
Operate the machine in a safe and efficient manner according to established procedures and specifications, ensuring quality product production. Inspect assigned jobs at the beginning of every shift and after each break, properly identify yarn packages, and label yarn for identification purposes. Patrol the job to ensure all positions are running, repair breakouts immediately, and assist with changeovers following proper procedures. Report any mechanical or quality/run-ability problems to the supervisor and technician in a timely fashion. Maintain housekeeping standards, follow waste prevention procedures, and comply with corporate absenteeism and tardiness policies while working rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work rotating shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required
- Must be able to lift packages weighing up to twenty pounds frequently
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for up to twelve continuous hours
