Job Summary
Operate production equipment under supervision, ensuring safety guards are in place and following manufacturer guidelines. Monitor gauges to maintain quality, perform maintenance checks, and respond to defects by notifying maintenance. Adjust machines as needed, load packaging materials, and execute changeovers for different product sizes. Conduct first case checks, process checks per QA SOPs, and use Statistical Process Control to verify weight specifications. Remove scrap, maintain housekeeping, and complete all required paperwork accurately. Set up and properly shut down equipment after production runs.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of high school education or equivalent
- 1 year Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to read and write in English and fill out relevant work documents
- Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs
- Strong skills to work both independently and in a team
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills
- Responsible and result oriented
- Strong sense of tight timelines
