Machine Operator 1 - AWW2 Weekend Night Shift (Onsite)

Job Summary
Read and interpret work instructions to set up and operate production equipment such as milling/grinding machines, furnaces, and part wash machines. Perform required total preventative maintenance on assigned machinery and obtain operator certification to accept or reject parts. Collaborate with engineers and quality assurance personnel to resolve machining problems and assist in part process development. Frequently move about the machine line to operate various manufacturing equipment, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and transporting product weighing up to 10 pounds. This weekend night shift position runs Friday through Sunday from 6pm to 6:30am at Pratt & Whitney in Asheville, NC.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- HS Diploma/GED
- Previous Manufacturing experience or education or Advanced Manufacturing Certification
Desired Qualifications
- 2 or more years Machine Operator or Manufacturing Experience
- Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong computer skills
