Job Summary
Maintenance Technician will setup, maintain and repair machinery and equipment. Essential duties include setup of equipment for new jobs, inspecting and testing machinery, diagnosing malfunctions, dismantling defective machines, installing and repairing parts, cleaning and lubricating components, handling environmental responsibilities, running production jobs as required, basic welding as needed, and possibly driving company vehicles. Requires English communication, ability to read schematics, basic welding, familiarity with MS Word/Excel, and ability to obtain/maintain a driver's license; compliance with ATF explosives eligibility and RCRA training; strong teamwork and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Six months to one year related experience preferred
- Basic welding experience or knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes preferred
- Basic understanding of electronic components and the ability to read/understand schematics
- Ability to communicate and document effectively in English
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Driver’s License upon hire
- Function Specific RCRA training upon hire
- Ability to work effectively with other employees as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task in support of end-result/goal
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to set and establish priorities
Additional Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (ITAR)
- Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 for all employees of Tech Ord
