Job Summary
Machine Learning Scientist – NLP (GenAI) – Vice President in JPMorgan Chase's ML Center of Excellence leads end-to-end ML solution lifecycle from ideation to production, focuses on Generative AI applications, partners with business and technical teams to deploy scalable models, and drives cross-functional initiatives. Requires advanced degree with several years of ML/DL expertise, hands-on GenAI experience, and strong ability to design experiments, evaluate metrics, and communicate results to technical and business audiences.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Optimization, or Data Science) with at least 3 years of experience OR MS with at least 5 years of industry/research experience
- Solid background in Generative AI (GenAI) and hands-on ML/DL experience with toolkits (TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas)
- Ability to design experiments and training frameworks and evaluate metrics aligned with business goals
- Scientific thinking with ability to work independently and in highly collaborative teams
- Strong written and spoken communication to convey technical concepts to technical and business audiences
- Preferred: Mathematics/Statistics background; familiarity with financial services; experience with AI/ML deployment in large-scale environments; published ML/DL research
