Job Summary

Machine Learning Engineer to join our ML and data science team focused on surgical workflow and performance for next-generation robotic surgery platforms. You will integrate ML into digital products and services across engineering, data science, and ML teams; develop automated workflows to curate datasets and train deep learning models; collaborate with ML, data/software engineering teams to streamline model development, deployment, and monitoring; help manage and scale our cloud-based MLOps infrastructure. Travel 5-10% globally. Required: MS/PhD in CS/EE or related field; 3+ years with production ML/data engineering experience; proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow; MLOps tools (Domino Data Labs, MLFlow, Kubeflow, W&B); Kubernetes; AWS/GCP; edge and cloud deployments; Python and SQL; Git. Preferred: healthcare experience, production ML deployments, federated learning, multi-modality datasets, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Required Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical and computer engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience developing productionized code in machine learning, data engineering, or related field for AI applications
  • Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow
  • Experience with MLOps platforms/tools (Domino Data Labs, MLFlow, Kubeflow, W&B)
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud compute environments (AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with edge and cloud deployments
  • Python and SQL
  • Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (5-10%)
  • Experience launching ML models into production (desirable)
  • Experience with healthcare data (desirable)
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance and security considerations (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desire to work in a small-team, high-energy environment
