Job Summary
Machine Learning Engineer II to join Mimecast's Incydr product development. Role involves end-to-end data/ML pipelines, deploying models to production, leading ML initiatives across solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior staff. Hybrid work model with at least two in-office days/week in Columbus, Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (computer science, statistics, mathematics) with at least four years of experience applying advanced ML techniques, OR Bachelor’s degree with at least six years of directly relevant experience
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, or Kotlin
- Experience with PyTorch, NLTK, SpaCy, OpenCV, Tesseract, Huggingface
- Strong grounding in linear algebra, stochastic optimization, probability theory
- Statistical inference and ML knowledge (forecasting, time series, hypothesis testing, anomaly detection, classification, regression)
- Experience with large-scale datasets (over two million training examples)
- AWS data services (ECS, Kinesis, Lambda, S3, Glue, SageMaker, Bedrock, Athena, RDS, Redshift)
- Experience designing and deploying scalable generative AI services (Langchain, LlamaIndex, n8n, springAI)
- Infrastructure-as-code for deployment
- Version control proficiency
- Handling of sensitive data per MSAs and compliance
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Growth mindset with ability to learn quickly in dynamic environments
- Ability to collaborate across product, engineering, marketing, customer success, and sales
- Ability to work both independently and in a team; strong self-management
