Job Summary
VP-level Product Manager for Machine Learning and Optimization leading NLP/ML initiatives in conversational AI. Drive end-to-end product life cycle from discovery to delivery, shaping product strategy and vision, coordinating ML engineers, data scientists, software developers, and designers to build scalable AI systems. Own backlog and Jira epics, track key metrics (cost, features, reliability), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure valuable customer outcomes. Lead AI innovation by integrating advances in Gen AI, LLMs, and agentic systems; work with linguists and data annotation teams to validate training data; conduct market research to inform the roadmap and ensure successful launches. Requires MS/PhD in CS or MBA and 5+ years of PM experience, expert NLP/ML knowledge, experience building large-scale AI systems, and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Required Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Computer Science or relevant field, or MBA
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Expert-level NLP and Machine learning experience, specifically in deep learning, LLMs, agentic systems and machine learning
- Experience in building large-scale AI systems
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver results to stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Publications in AI/ML/NLP conferences and/or patents
- Experience with Agile methodologies, and leading agile scrum teams
- Jira experience including epic creation, sprint planning, and other sprint ceremonies
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
- Experience with system design, scaling and deployment
- Familiarity with responsible AI
- Familiarity with Python, Java, Pytorch, LLM prompting, Agentic systems
