Machine Learning/ AI Engineer

Busuu is hiring a Machine Learning / AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems powering adaptive learning experiences. The role involves architecting and integrating LLM-powered features using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and evaluation pipelines; building agentic frameworks with LangChain/LangGraph for multi-agent workflows; developing ML systems from experimentation to production including feature engineering, training pipelines, online inference, and monitoring; contributing to ML infrastructure and experiment tooling (e.g., MLFlow, Airflow, SageMaker); collaborating with Data Engineers and Product Managers to embed intelligence into products and improve experimentation velocity; researching emerging AI/ML technologies (graph-based representations, RAG patterns, recommender systems) and shaping the AI strategy. Key skills include Python, ML pipelines, APIs/microservices, LLMs (OpenAI/Anthropic/HuggingFace), LangChain/LangGraph, prompt engineering, vector stores, SQL, Airflow, AWS (S3, SageMaker, Lambda), production deployment (NLP/personalisation/recommendation), and a passion for user experience and pedagogy.
