Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, inspect machines and mechanical systems, and troubleshoot diagnostic issues to minimize downtime. Repair or replace worn components, assist with machine startups, and work with production teams to reduce defects. Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory counts while following all safety procedures. Train on the 1st shift before moving to the 2nd shift. Located in Columbus, GA, this role offers up to $28.84/hour plus shift differential and requires two years of technical training or related experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of technical training, related maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Ability to read technical documents, procedures, and safety instructions
- Basic math skills including measurements, fractions, ratios, and percentages
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, and reaching
- Lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Working around moving machinery, electrical systems, noise, heat, and other industrial conditions
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
- Pre-employment background screening and drug testing are required
