Machine Field Supervisor

Job Summary
Supervise and optimise the Machine Field Service department: oversee field service technicians, manage daily operations, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Drive efficiency and scheduling for truck utilization; enforce safety and DOT standards; manage work orders, payroll, and WIP per company goals; monitor technician performance against KPIs; lead customer relationship management and corrective action plans to meet targets; review quotes and manage profit margins on work orders; recruit and retain technician staff; handle high-volume service calls and ensure timely decisions. Maintain equipment readiness through routine truck inspections, maintenance scheduling, and inventory control of tooling. Possess strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills; proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and reporting tools (Cognos, Crystal Reports, Tableau); on-call duties, travel as required, and a focus on continuous improvement and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Five years’ experience in a related industry
- Leadership/ supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret written instructions and procedures
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with Cognos, Crystal Reports, and/or Tableau
