Job Summary
Fit and assemble components according to assembly blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, and sketches. Operate hand and power tools, including mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, saws, and shears, while analyzing schematics and verifying part conformance using calipers, gauges, and micrometers. Lay out hole locations, drill and tap parts, and align components to bolt, screw, weld, or rivet them together. Construct, rebuild, and repair machines and equipment, and manage machine start-up and packaging. Work under supervision in the machine shop while pursuing journeyman certification. Must be willing to work overtime as needed and lift 25 pounds regularly. High school diploma or GED required.
