Job Summary
Read and interpret blueprints to complete sub-assembly and final assembly of customized products. Verify conformance of parts to stock lists, use hand and power tools to assemble units, and consult Engineering for custom design projects. Lay out hole locations, drill and tap parts, align components, and bolt, screw, dowel, weld, or rivet assemblies together. Identify faulty components, make adjustments, and report issues to management while verifying alignment and tolerances of moving parts. Requires three years of experience and blueprint reading ability; applicants must have their own transportation. Weekly pay ranges from $20 to $28 per hour.
