Machine Assistant

Operate as a 1st Shift Machine Assistant in Opus Packaging’s Jackson, MI location, producing corrugated or chip packaging products in alignment with the company’s mission and values. Responsibilities include understanding machine set-up, machine runs, plant data entry, and handwork or assembly assignments; read and follow safety rules and procedural documents; use measurement tools (tape measures, micrometers) and maintain good hand-eye coordination. Physical duties include bending, reaching, stooping, squatting, standing for 8 hours, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting of 10-20 pounds.
