Job Summary
Perform complete and independent setup of various machine tools and perform any operation within the machine’s capacity, working from prints, sketches, oral and written instructions to determine operation sequence, dimensions and tolerances, tools to use, locating/alignment/holding methods, and feeds speeds. Route includes running milling, drilling, grinding, assembling in-house tooling, and inspecting parts to tolerance using measuring devices; read blueprints and engineering details; operate CNC/manual mills and lathe; collaborate in a team, while also able to work independently, and comply with environmental policies. The role involves handling 40–80 lbs and contributing to production machinery functions with a focus on safety and quality.
Required Qualifications
- Must be knowledgeable in machine shop operations
- Capability to use various machine shop tools and equipment
- CNC Mills, Manual Mills and Lathe
- Work independently as well as in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision
- Ability to read various measuring devices and perform accurate inspections
- Must be able to read blueprints and machine parts to tolerance
- Good organization and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull 40 to 80lbs
