Job Summary
Set up and configure folding machinery for envelope production in the Folding Department; operate all machines within the department; perform daily machine maintenance, changeovers and set-ups; troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor repairs; inspect product quality and verify order accuracy, including labeling, printing and packaging; complete labor, time and quality tracking paperwork; maintain accurate counts of envelopes for boxing, cartonizing and palletizing; work 2nd shift (4 10-hour days) with a $0.75 shift premium; training on 1st shift for 6–9 months before transitioning to 2nd shift; requires hands-on mechanical ability and experience setting up orders on production/manufacturing equipment or related auto/fleet/mechanic backgrounds; strong reading comprehension for safety and operating manuals; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise as Set-Up Operator, Envelope Adjuster or Auto Mechanic
- 5 years machine set-up and/or repair experience preferred
- Capacity to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting ruler measurements
- Ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
