Job Summary
Mac Technician needed to join a NYC-based Service Desk team, delivering on-site and remote support to clients across New York City. Responsibilities include remote desktop fixes, software installation and upgrades, backups, system and application configuration, Mac OS and some Windows troubleshooting, hardware troubleshooting, and documenting procedures. The role involves on-site client visits, in-office days at the Midtown headquarters, and an on-call rotation. Requires 2+ years of experience, 3+ years with Mac OS and iOS, familiarity with Keychain/LaunchAgents/LaunchDaemons, Activity Monitor and Console, VoIP and email troubleshooting, and strong communication and multitasking skills. College degree is desired but not required; familiarity with JAMF, Azure, and Google Workspace is a plus. A 8-hour shift with day hours, on-call weekends. Contractual travel to client sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience
- iOS: 3 years (Required)
- Mac OS: 3 years (Required)
- Familiarity with Keychain, LaunchAgents and LaunchDaemons
- Familiarity with Activity Monitor and Console
- VoIP troubleshooting
- Email troubleshooting (NDR, contacting email host support)
- Backup escalation/troubleshooting
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Multitasking and fast learning
- Experience with Apple, Mac OS, Mac OS X Server, Google (G-Suite), Windows OS and Office365
- JAMF familiarity is a plus
- Azure and Google Workspace familiarity is a plus
- Previous customer support or technology experience
