Job Summary
Mac Support Engineer for Indigo IT’s CBP End User Device IT Management Services. The Jr. Mac Support Engineer will help support and administer a distributed macOS desktop environment across on‐premises, hybrid, and internet-based devices, collaborating with the Apple Engineering team to enhance the end-user macOS experience, provide deskside support, and promote security compliance. Responsibilities include macOS imaging, patching, system certificates, PIV authentication, AD authentication, and macOS cybersecurity hardening; Jamf Pro management to standardize macOS versions and applications; on-site deskside support; basic networking understanding (VLANS, switches); supporting MacBooks, workstations, and servers; and leveraging ticketing (ServiceNow) as needed. The role requires strong communication, cross‐functional teamwork (including cybersecurity and government management), and the ability to grow with evolving cloud/hybrid technologies. Education or experience should align with the listed qualifications, including security clearances (CBP/Top Secret preferred) and citizenship requirements. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field; in lieu of degree 1-2+ years of macOS and Jamf experience with a Jamf Certified Associate (Jamf 100) or greater
- Experience utilizing enterprise management systems such as Jamf, Microsoft Intune, and Active Directory
- Experience with ServiceNow is desired
- Current CBP Background Investigation or Top Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years (preferred); US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance (REQUIRED)
- Experience with macOS imaging, patching, system certificates, PIV, and AD authentication; macOS security hardening guidelines
- Experience with Jamf Pro version 11.0 or later; scripting (Terminal, Bash) for desktop automation
- Experience supporting macOS across multiple versions; knowledge of networking fundamentals (VLANS)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and MS 365 Apps; familiarity with scripting for desktop management
- Experience with Intune, M365, and Active Directory a plus
- Apple Certified Support Professional desirable but not required
- ITIL v3 Foundations desirable but not required
