Job Summary
Set up client files for output to Digital and Offset Presses, ensuring top quality pre-flight technical checks verify images meet requirements. Check inks, trim, bleed, and image resolution, then prepare 1up art from supplied PDFs and native files. Trap and fix bleeds, troubleshoot art files, and impose files for press layout including marks and color bars. Output proofs for press layout approval and contract color proofs, calibrate output devices, and review ticket orders for accuracy. Manage file completion and plate room output while meeting production schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years in a Prepress related role
- Experience using a Mac computer
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software, in a Prepress environment
- Strong knowledge of pre-press software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, ArtPro+, etc.)
- Experience trouble shooting files during pre-flight process
- Experience in understanding the folding of cartons
- Strong organizational skills in file management
- Experience with multi-tasking, in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to independently manage one's own time and projects, to meet deadlines/ due dates
- Ability to Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
- Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
- This Mac (Prepress) Operator position is located on-site in our Dallas facility
