Job Summary
Mac Engineer responsible for the engineering and operation of the Mac platform, including provisioning, configuration, software deployment, compliance, remediation, and lifecycle management. Focus on modernizing Mac management workflows in Jamf Pro for reliability, scalability, and user experience. Develop and maintain scripts and code to support Mac platform management and service quality. Participate in peer reviews and collaborate with security, QA, and release governance to improve validation for macOS updates and configurations. Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly, and contribute to enterprise endpoint standards and observability. Support Jamf administration, policy management, device enrollment, and troubleshooting, working with the broader Mac Engineering and Workplace Engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable platform solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 3–5+ years of relevant experience in macOS endpoint engineering or related platform engineering
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work across teams and contribute to engineering standards
- Hands-on experience with macOS endpoint tooling and scripting
- Experience with Jamf Pro or Jamf Cloud
- Proficiency in scripting and reading/writing code
- Familiarity with GitHub-based workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews)
- Comfort with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude)
- Understanding of enterprise endpoint security concepts (hardening, patching, secure configuration)
- Desirable: Terraform experience
- Desirable: Jamf certifications
- Hybrid work model familiarity
