Job Summary
Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician by performing select clinical duties, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on charts. Prepare treatment rooms for examinations, perform basic clerical tasks such as answering phones and maintaining records, and manage materials functions including ordering and stocking supplies. Maintain a clean and orderly environment while supporting treatments ordered by a physician as supervised by a physician or registered nurse. Work PRN from 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday at UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham with ability to travel to satellite locations. BLS certification required within 30 days of hire; Medical Assistant preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required
- American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
