Job Summary
Medical Assistant - Certified in UW Medicine Primary Care in Mountlake Terrace. The role includes rooming patients, taking vital signs, administering injections, preparing and cleaning exam rooms, submitting medication prior authorizations, recognizing symptoms, assisting providers with procedures and exams, performing point-of-care testing, and transporting patients as needed. Requires completion of an accredited MA program or equivalent and WA Medical Assistant-Certified certification (or achieving within 6 months); BLS Certification is required. Full-time, 40 hours per week, day shift schedule provided; positioned within UW Medicine Primary Care network with opportunities for professional growth and a focus on compassionate patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalent
- Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6-months of hire.
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card
