Job Summary
Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) for Harborview Float Pool. Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours/week), day shift 8:00am-4:30pm. Float Pool staff rotate through multiple units, providing flexible support to clinics and patients. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include rooming patients, taking vital signs, reconciling records, performing injections, assisting with procedures and medical exams, preparing/cleaning exam rooms, submitting prior authorizations, reporting symptoms to providers, performing point-of-care testing and reporting abnormal lab values, and assisting with patient transport as required. QUALIFICATIONS: completion of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or equivalent; must be WA Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve within 6 months of hire; valid AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers. LOCATION: Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, WA. Compensation: $27.72–$39.65 per hour (annualized as $57,658–$82,472) with float pay premium noted in the posting. Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalent
- Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6-months of hire
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR
