Job Summary
Medical Assistant — MA-C position at UW Harborview Eye Institute in Seattle. Full-time 1-year fixed duration (100% FTE) with day shift. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, preparing and cleaning examination rooms, assisting physicians with intraocular injections and laser procedures, reconciling records, processing prior authorizations, scheduling and checking in/out patients, assisting with medication refills and eyewear prescriptions, and acting as liaison between patients, families, and providers. Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and WA State MA certification (or within 6 months of hire) and AHA BLS. Location: Seattle, WA. Compensation ranges from $27.72 to $39.65 per hour.”,
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalent
- Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6 months of hire
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card
