Job Summary

Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures including chest and extremity x-rays, EKGs, venipunctures, and pulmonary function testing. Accurately obtain vital signs, record patient data, and maintain radiation safety while keeping equipment clean and stocked. Apply splints, braces, and wound dressings; assist physicians with exams and procedures. Perform room setup, infection control, and restocking. Manage clerical tasks such as scheduling, answering phones, filing, and updating charts. Respond to emergencies per policy and report operational issues to supervisors. Perform quality control and complete maintenance requests as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Limited Radiographer Certification
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Minimum two years of LMR
  • Direct patient care experience preferred
  • Respect/promote patient rights
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Exhibit friendly/helpful behaviors
  • Respond to emergencies in appropriate manner and according to policy
  • Follow all OSHA and departmental policies
  • Perform quality control
  • Record data as necessary
  • Report all departmental/staff/operational problems to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner
  • Practice good infection control
  • Order supplies and restock as necessary
  • Prepares maintenance requests as needed
  • Perform clerical duties including scheduling, answering phone, filing, copying, completing forms/referrals/precerts, obtaining demographic information, updating charts, assuring fee tickets reflect services perform
  • Perform EKG's
  • Perform venipunctures
  • Perform pulmonary function testing
  • Perform other lab procedures and treatments with accuracy
  • Accurately obtain vital signs
  • Record patient data in an accurate, legal and appropriate manner
  • Performs all radiographic exams
  • Maintain radiation safety per departmental policy
  • Keep all x-ray equipment and supplies clean, maintained and stocked
  • Apply splints, braces and wound dressings in correct manner
  • Assist physician with exams/procedures
  • Room/equipment/instrument set-up
  • Cleaning
  • Assure fee tickets reflect services perform

Desired Qualifications

  • Direct patient care experience preferred
