Job Summary
Support acquisition and execution of technology, development, and qualification projects in surface technologies, functional coatings, and corrosion protection. Prepare material and process specifications, test instructions, and obsolescence management documentation while ensuring environmental compliance under REACH regulations. Provide consultancy for design, stress, quality, and manufacturing inquiries, collaborate with external institutes and suppliers, and offer expertise on engineering and in-service issues. Develop and harmonize technologies for external livery applications, including paints, pre-treatment, and cleaning processes. This role offers reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks for candidates seeking flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Master degree or PhD in material science, chemistry or aerospace engineering
- Experience in surface and coatings technologies as well as corrosion protection mandatory
- German and English Negotiation level mandatory
- Independent and proactive working style
- Awareness of any potential compliance risks
- Commitment to act with integrity
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace industry and its related processes such as qualification, certification and standardisation preferred
