M&E Project Manager (Construction, Glasgow or Edinburgh)

Job Summary
Develop Project Management Plans, master programmes, and construction schedules while defining project briefs and managing stakeholder communications. Lead project meetings, produce correspondence, and oversee Request for Proposals, tender documents, and contractor negotiations to ensure best value. Review design packages, conduct value engineering workshops, and track risk mitigation activities alongside contractor claim assessments. Assess on-site progress and quality, raise defect rectification instructions, and manage design teams and technical queries. Administer construction contracts, handle quantity surveying for cost estimation and change control, and coordinate sub-consultant appointments. Oversee sub-consultant work, mentor junior staff, and maintain client relationships to support Egis' strategic business growth in sustainable infrastructure delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical and / or Electrical Project Manager
- Hands-on, results-orientated and client centric
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Strong communication, listening, and presentation skills
- Able to deal with ambiguity and an organised multi-tasker
- Decisive and calm under pressure
- Technically minded
- Degree in a relevant construction discipline
- Demonstrable experience of working on projects with a high degree of technical complexity (mechanical / electrical / process) as an M&E QS or Project Manager
- Member of / working towards Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or equivalent
- Glasgow or Edinburgh
