Job Summary
Lead mechanical and electrical coordination at the project level, ensuring all M&E systems are designed, installed, tested, and handed over in accordance with project specifications, authority regulations, and sustainability objectives. Review shop drawings, schematics, and equipment schedules to identify design conflicts, then oversee daily site M&E works including HVAC, electrical distribution, and fire protection. Coordinate technical requirements across disciplines, witness testing and commissioning activities, and verify system performance against approved plans and statutory codes. Support authority submissions for BOMBA, ST, and local councils, manage defect resolution, and compile verified documentation for final handover. Resolve technical conflicts efficiently to avoid rework or delay while maintaining complete as-built drawings and operation manuals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
- Registered Graduate Engineer with BEM
- Minimum 3–5 years in M&E engineering roles within construction or development projects
- Proven experience in managing installation, coordination, authority submission, and commissioning of major M&E systems
- Strong working knowledge of M&E systems: HVAC, plumbing, fire systems, electrical, ELV, and lift systems
- Familiar with BOMBA, ST, UBBL, JKKP requirements and submission processes
- Proficient in identifying and resolving multi-disciplinary clashes
- Knowledgeable in T&C sequencing and performance benchmarks
- Manages installation progress, safety, and quality
- Proactively addresses site and design challenges
- Maintains accurate logs, updates, and reports for tracking and audit readiness
- Takes full ownership of assigned systems and responsibilities
- Evaluates risks, options, and recommends practical solutions
- Works effectively with internal teams, consultants, and contractors
- Ensures installations meet statutory and quality standards at all times
- AutoCAD
- Revit (for coordination reference)
- Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint for progress reporting and analysis
- T&C templates, authority submission trackers, QA/QC logs
- Familiarity with MS1525, ISO standards, and smart building principles
