M&E Design Engineer (HV Substations)

Job Summary
Conduct electromechanical design for HV substations and power lines exceeding 220 kV, including general arrangements, equipment sizing, insulation coordination studies, power flows, and short circuit analysis using ETAP. Define power line routes, model with PLSCADD and Tower package software, size HV cables with CYMCAP, and generate sag and tension calculation reports. Navigate the Saudi Arabian permitting process for power line projects and coordinate the M&E discipline with strong communication skills. The role requires 8-15 years of experience, proficiency in specified software, and mobility within Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
Required Qualifications
- A higher degree in Electrical Engineering
- 8-15 years of experience in Electromechanical design of Substations and Power lines > 220 kV
- Proficiency in ETAP, PLSCADD, Tower package, CYMCAP, and other relevant software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English
- Be prepared for mobility within Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries as required

- Proficiency in additional languages like French or Chinese
