M&E Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate mechanical and electrical scopes to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and codes. Plan, direct, and coordinate on-site activities while managing relevant drawings to eliminate interference problems. Provide direction during functional performance testing and assist project managers in updating schedules, handling RFIs, and administrating project completion requirements. Develop M&E schedules for trades outlining submissions, delivery, installation, and inspection dates, tracking field installation against milestone dates. Maintain constant monthly communication with M&E subcontractors to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met. Help develop M&E Scope of Work and tender packages by reviewing specifications, drawings, estimates, and subcontractor contracts. Requires two to three years of mechanical and electrical construction experience and a construction or engineering degree.
Required Qualifications
- Two to three years of mechanical and electrical construction experience
- A working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering systems, principles and practices
- The ability to proactively identify and document any problems/conflicts and effectively manage and resolve them
- A construction/engineering related degree or diploma
