M&A Integration & Disentanglement Director

Job Summary
Director-level lead for end-to-end M&A integration and disentanglement programs across the transaction lifecycle, including sign-to-close, Day-1 readiness, stabilization, TSA execution and exit. Responsible for translating deal objectives into integrated execution plans with realistic timelines, establishing program governance, coordinating cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, HR, Supply Chain, Legal, Commercial), managing risks and resources, and communicating progress to senior stakeholders. Emphasizes governance, escalation of material risks, and continuous improvement of integration and disentanglement practices. Office presence required three days per week in Amsterdam with occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in post-merger integration, carve-outs, or complex transformation programs, gained in a corporate M&A, consulting, or transaction advisory environment
- Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional programs in complex and time-critical situations
- Solid understanding of M&A transactions and the operational implications of integrations and separations
- Experience working with senior leadership and navigating decision making in large organizations
- Strong integration and carve-out execution experience
- Program governance and structured problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed organizations
- Sound commercial judgment and pragmatic risk management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
