Job Summary
Analyst in Japan M&A team involved in the full cycle of transactional execution, including preparing pitches, conducting financial analysis, presenting client materials, and coordinating day-to-day M&A activities. Collaborate with coverage partners in Japan and globally; work with ECM, DCM and Markets to originate and execute deals. Requires strong financial modelling/analytical skills, ability to interact with clients in Japanese and English, and a self-directed, proactive mindset. Opportunities to develop toward senior or leadership roles within a Global Investment Banking M&A group.
Required Qualifications
- Prior work experience in an investment banking front office role
- Strong financial modelling and financial analytical skills
- A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently/proactively
- Understands transaction cycle and the steps in the process
