Job Summary
M&A Analyst responsible for developing end-to-end acquisition models from a standardized template, normalizing historical financials, forecasting revenues and costs, and modeling value creation post-acquisition. The role includes creating structured scenarios (Winner, Modest Win, Wounded Win, Wipe Out), calculating IRR and related outcomes, performing model audits for policy compliance, identifying diligence risks, and supporting deal teams with model-driven insights and documentation. Strong Excel modeling, business judgment, and the ability to communicate financial outcomes to non-finance stakeholders are required; prior experience with centralized operating structures and post-merger value creation is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in investment modeling, corporate development, private equity, or related roles
- Strong Excel modeling skills with structured, auditable outputs
- Understanding of operating cost structures and margin dynamics
- Ability to translate real business operations into financial assumptions
- Comfort explaining financial outcomes to non finance stakeholders
- Experience modeling acquisitions with centralized operating structures (preferred)
- Exposure to post merger integration or value creation initiatives (preferred)
- Experience supporting Investment Committee or senior leadership decisions (preferred)
