Job Summary
Conduct Quality of Earnings analyses, working capital assessments, and normalized EBITDA adjustments while supporting financial and tax due diligence. Extract, clean, transform, and analyze large data sets from client ERP systems, applying data analytics to identify trends and value drivers. Build and maintain financial models for historical analysis, projections, and purchase price accounting, utilizing AI tools to accelerate data exploration and narrative drafting. Assist with business valuations using guideline public company and discounted cash flow methodologies, then prepare client-ready workpapers and diligence reports. Participate in internal deal meetings and client discussions under supervision, conducting industry research to support deal theses. This paid, three-month hybrid internship at WilkinGuttenplan offers direct exposure to real M&A transactions with partners, featuring a $28/hour rate and a Buddy Program for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Rising junior or current junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or a closely related analytical field
- Strong academic performance
- genuine interest in M&A, valuation, or transaction advisory
- Solid data analytics foundation
- advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, Power Query, lookups, and basic modeling
- comfort working with large, messy data sets
- Demonstrated ability or clear interest in using AI tools to enhance analytical work
