Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide care for a group of patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse in the Transitional Care Unit. Responsibilities include delivering patient care via therapeutic use of self, adhering to required certifications (California LVN license, CPR, IV certification), completing Elder Abuse training within 60 days of hire, and completing MAB requirements on day one. Role involves 12-hour day shifts under supervision of the Nurse Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse license required
- Current CPR certificate required
- IV Certification evidenced on Primary Source Verification of LVN License (Certified in intravenous therapy and blood withdrawal required for LVNs working in Home Health, Hospice, Ambulatory Surgery, or the Transitional Care Unit)
- Elder Abuse training required within 60 days of hire
- MAB to be completed on first day of work (grandfathered: existing employees must complete new requirements by 6/9/2025)
- One year of experience as an LVN in a clinical setting preferred
