Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in a skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include completing and filing charts and treatment plans, admitting/transferring/discharging residents, administering medications as ordered, performing rounds with physicians, orienting new residents and families, answering call lights, assisting residents with daily care, and participating in care-plan development and care coordination with nursing assistants and the interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- LVN license or current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of California
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
- Ability to prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician
- Ability to complete and file charts and treatment plans
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
- Good communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team
- Ability to supervise nursing assistants and coordinate day-to-day nursing activities
- Adaptability to all shifts (full-time or part-time)
